When creating or editing a template, you can configure Template Settings to control who on your team can access and use it.

Available settings

Make this template available to Staff members

When enabled, this template becomes accessible to all team members. This is called a Global Template. When disabled, the template is visible only to you (called an Own Template).

Prevent Staff members from modifying this template

When enabled, team members with the Staff permission level can use the template to send documents but cannot edit its layout or structure. This option is only available if the template has been shared with staff members.

Template permission types

  • Global Template — Available to all team members. Ideal for standard company documents everyone uses.
  • Own Template — Visible only to the creator. Useful for personal or draft templates.
