Understanding which documents are visible to each team member role helps protect privacy and maintain data security across your business.
Super Admin and Manager
Super Admins and Managers can view, download, edit, and cancel all documents in the business — including documents sent by other team members. This includes access to signer email addresses and data signers enter into the document.
Staff
Staff members can only see and manage their own documents. They cannot access documents sent by other team members, which protects signer privacy across the business.
Read-Only
Read-Only members can view and download all business documents (like Super Admins and Managers), but cannot create, edit, cancel, or access the audit trail of any document. This role is for team members who need visibility but should not take action on documents.
Quick reference
- View all business documents: Super Admin, Manager, Read-Only (own only for Staff)
- Download documents: Super Admin, Manager, Read-Only (own only for Staff)
- View Audit Trail: Super Admin, Manager (own only for Staff, no for Read-Only)
