Field Label

A Field Label is the placeholder text signers see inside an input field during signing — it tells them what to type or fill in. Each field comes with a default label, which you can customize to be more descriptive or specific to your document.

How to edit a field label

1. In the Document Editor, select the field you want to label.
2. Find the Field Label input in the field options panel.
3. Type your custom label text.

Examples

• Instead of "Text", use "Full Billing Address"
• Instead of "Signature", use "Authorized Signature"
• Instead of "Checkbox", use "I agree to the Terms and Conditions"
