Default Session Lifetime and Session Cookie Lifetime

Created by Apryse Bot, Modified on Wed, 15 Apr at 8:53 PM by Kelly Revilla

Xodo Sign sessions have a default timeout of 2 hours of inactivity. Session cookies also expire when you close your browser window.

What this means for you

  • After 2 hours of inactivity — You will be automatically signed out and will need to log back in.
  • When you close your browser window — Your session ends immediately. You will need to sign in again when you reopen Xodo Sign.
  • Closing the Xodo Sign tab (not the window) — This does not log you out. You stay signed in until you close the entire browser window or are inactive for 2 hours.

Can the session timeout be adjusted?

No — the 2-hour session timeout is the same for all Xodo Sign users and cannot be changed in account or business settings at this time.

Tips for uninterrupted work

  • Save your work regularly.
  • Log out when finished to avoid accidental session exposure on shared devices.
  • If you step away, keep the browser window open so your session stays active.
