Why You Should Use PDF Files with Xodo Sign

While Xodo Sign supports a variety of file formats, PDF (Portable Document Format) consistently produces the best results. We strongly recommend using PDF files for all document uploads.

Why PDF Is Best

PDF ensures that your document's layout, fonts, and formatting are preserved exactly as intended - regardless of the device or operating system used to open it. Other formats (like Word or Excel) can sometimes display differently when converted to PDF by Xodo Sign's server, which may affect how fields appear.

If you use non-PDF formats, you may occasionally encounter issues such as misaligned fields or rendering differences. Converting to PDF first eliminates these risks.
