How to Use a Template

Once you have created a standard Template in Xodo Sign, you can reuse it to send documents to any number of different signers. Each time you use a template, you fill in the signer details and any customizable fields for that specific use.

Steps to Use a Template

  1. Go to Templates in the left navigation menu.
  2. Find the template you want to use.
  3. Click the Use Template button on the right side of the template row.
  4. Fill in the signer and CC role details (name and email address for each role).
  5. If the template has Merge Fields, fill in any custom values (e.g., a price or contract date).
  6. Review the document settings, then click Send to send the document for signature.

Note: You can use the same template as many times as you need. Each use creates a separate document that signers can sign independently.

Pre-filled Roles

If any signer or CC roles were pre-filled during template creation, those details will be populated automatically when you use the template. You can update them before sending if needed.

Troubleshooting

No "Use Template" button visible: Make sure you are looking at a standard Template, not a Template Link. Template Links use a "Send Link" or "Sign Now" button instead.
