How to Use a Template

Once you've created a standard Template in Xodo Sign, you can reuse it to send documents to different signers anytime. Each use creates a separate document with its own signing process.

How to use a template

  1. Go to Templates in the left navigation.
  2. Find the template you want to use.
  3. Click Use Template on the right side of the template row.
  4. Fill in signer and CC role details (name and email address for each role).
  5. If the template has Merge Fields, fill in any custom values (e.g., a price or contract date).
  6. Review the document settings and click Send.

Note: You can use the same template as many times as needed. Each send creates an independent document.

Pre-filled roles

If signer or CC roles were pre-filled during template creation, those details will appear automatically when you use the template. You can update them before sending if needed.

Troubleshooting

No "Use Template" button visible: This usually means you're viewing a Template Link, not a standard Template. Template Links have a Send Link or Sign Now button instead.
